The Institute of Leadership and Management

The ILM aims to ensure that the UK is able to develop leaders and managers of the future with a particular focus on first line and middle levels. The ILM represents a strategic initiative to support excellence in leadership and management in all sectors and to develop new and appropriate services for organisations and individuals to develop capability. In this age of ‘lifelong learning’ qualifications and ongoing training and development are the key to employability and career progression. Membership of a modern professional body is synonymous with recognition of achievement (denoted by letters after a person’s name) and demonstrates commitment to lifelong learning by those individuals who take advantage of the training and development opportunities provided through ILM.
