Funding Training with Flexible 5000
Flexible 5000 is a funding initiative announced by Skills Development Scotland allowing Scottish Businesses to invest in learning and development opportunities for their employees.
The Flexible 5000 initiative will allow companies to receive up to 50% funding towards the cost of training (up to a maximum value of £500). This will help improve workplace activity and help businesses through this period of economic recovery.
Companies are eligible for Flexible 5000 funding if:
- They have 50 employees or less
- The business and employees participating in the training are based in Scotland
- The business is a privately run organisation (including sole traders, freelancers voluntary and not-for-profit status)
- The link between the training and business needs can be clearly identified
- Training is undertaken within 90 days
Businesses can apply for Flexible 5000 funding to pursue a wide range of learning and development opportunities – with the exception of legislative or regulatory training programmes. Up to 10 employees from an organisation can undertake one episode of training each.
The flexible 5000 can be used against training opportunities including:
- Qualifications including individual units
- Masterclasses and Workshops
- Industry recognised qualifications
