CIPS Level 4 Foundation Diploma - DAY RELEASE

Entry Requirements

Minimum entry 21 years of age, with at least 3 A levels, or the equivalent as determined by CIPS. Also acceptable are any CIPS Level 3 Certificates and any other Level 3 qualifications which CIPS considers to be equivalent.

Applicants without any prior qualification must be at least 21 years of age with at least two years’ experience in a business environment.

Exemptions allowed from 4 units, with the exception of the integrative unit, (Purchasing Contexts) unit by unit on content and by prior qualification or experience. Qualifications which have a relevant content at Level 4, or higher, including degrees from bona fide universities will be accepted.

Applicant exemptions are dealt with on an individual basis by CIPS.

The programme runs from Sep 2010 – May 2011.

  • Tues 31.8.10 – 16.11.10: Developing contracts and Effective negotiations By examination
  • Tues 23.11.10 - 26.04.11: Developing contracts and Effective negotiations By Work-based assignment (£200 surcharge per subject)

  • Tues 23.11.10 – 26.4.11: Purchasing Context
  • Tues 11.01.11 – 16.05.11: Managing Purchasing and Supply Relationships and Measuring purchasing performance

Fees

The cost is £375 per subject. Additional fees are payable to CIPS for student membership/subscription and exams.

Membership Details

Registration to Exams and Membership of the CIPS is the responsibility of the individual.*

* The College will register (at the current rate of £72) students undertaking the Work Based Assignment.

Aims of the Course

The CIPS Level 4 Foundation Diploma - DAY RELEASE at the City of Glasgow College is to provide qualified persons, within purchasing and supply management, with a broad-based education in business and specialised studies, relating to the profession.

Course content

The course includes a variety of teaching modules, structured tuition and course materials. There will also be set CIPS exam papers with mock examinations using previous CIPS exam papers.
