Central regain CIPS Centre of Excellence status

CIPS_Excellence.jpgThe Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) auditor visited Central College on Wednesday 3 March 2010 to carry out an external audit of the College's CIPS provision.

After a rigorous audit focussing specifically on Quality of Teaching & Learning and Innovative Delivery Methods, the College retained it's Centre of Excellence status which is the highest level of accreditation awarded to centres in the UK.

Central is recognised as the biggest provider of CIPS provision and the only Centre of Excellence in Scotland. The auditor was particularly impressed with the College's links to the business community and highlighted the work of the College through the KTP with Mechanex which has been shortlisted for Scotland's Colleges' Business Awards at the end of the month.
