Central College welcomes Indian visitors

College representatives (L-R) Stuart McDowall, Marion McNab, Carla Gethin, Roy Gardner and Samir Zarrug with our visitors from the Meghe Institute

On Wednesday 2nd June Central were delighted to welcome a group of delegates from the Meghe Institute (MGI) from Nagpur in India as part of a Scotland’s Colleges International inward mission.

Our guests, which included Dr Avichal R. Kapur, Dean of MGI, were given a tour of the College and were also introduced to various members of staff from the school of Business and IT & Digital Art.

Depute Head of School of Business, Carla Gethin, gave a presentation to the group about the qualification system here in Scotland and how the Indian system differs.

The visit was a follow up to the mission which took place back in February when staff from Central College visited India, which included visiting the Meghe institute.

The delegation had visited some of our partner Colleges as part of their tour of Scotland, including Clydebank, Dundee and Glasgow Met.
