In conjunction with the Scottish Paralegal Association, Central College Glasgow is launching the Centre for Scottish Paralegal Education. The aim of the Centre is to promote best practice in paralegal education and to provide a forum where practitioners and legal academics can work together to ensure delivery of effective workplace education. Taking place from Tuesday 29th September to Thursday 1st October, Central College Glasgow is proud to host a series of events to which practitioners and legal academics are most cordially invited.

In association with Scotland’s Colleges, this seminar targets legal academics and legal practitioners and will comprise;

• Themed workshops examining effective innovation
• Poster presentations on current research into legal education
• Plenary sessions discussing perceptions of best practice
• Applications are particularly invited for Poster Presentations from academics within the FE Sector.

Seminar on “Meeting Student Expectations”

In partnership with The Association of Law Teachers, this important seminar is a Scottish version of a similar seminar offered by the Association in London last year. Speakers will address:-

• Meeting the expectations of potential entrants to Law School
• Delivery of effective skills training to law undergraduates
• Post Graduate perceptions
• Perceptions of professional need

Applications are particularly invited from Law Teachers within the nominate Law Schools and from practitioners with an interest in professional legal education.
