Graduates in the PDA in Supply Chain Management celebrate

Scotlandexcellogo.jpgIn partnership with Scotland Excel, Central College Glasgow were delighted to celebrate the achievements of a further 12 candidates as they graduated with the Professional Development Award’s (PDA) in Supply Chain Management.

At a recent ceremony held in the College’s CIPS Centre, the Head of Marketing, Business and International Partnerships Roy Gardner and Course Leader Peter Provan presented the awards to the 12 graduates, who work across a variety of local authority organisations and within Scotland Excel itself. Head of School of Commerce Robin McGee also attended the intimate ceremony held on the 21st April 2010 in the College's Digital Lecture Theatre.

The PDA in Supply Chain Management has been tailor made by the College to cover areas including how to maintain operational relationships within the supply chain, monitor distribution of supplies, and identify potential suppliers.

Central College Glasgow offer CIPS qualifications from the Level 2 Introductory Certificate, to Level 6 Graduate Diploma. The 12 graduates have completed Level 3 and now have the options of progressing onto the Level 4 qualification.

The College is also the leading institution in Scotland, second in UK, and fifth in the world for delivery of CIPS courses.

Over the years, the College’s CIPS Centre has helped staff from a wide range of institutions from the private and public sector including the Scottish Government, NHS and Enterprise Ireland, and currently works with over 100 businesses to address their needs. Other services offered by the College’s Centre for Supply Chain Leadership include consultancy, recruitment selection, bespoke training and a drop-in facility for professional advice on all matters relating to the supply chain.
